The Rondomat Duo I water softeners are suitable for partial and complete softening of process water, boiler feed water, cooling water and air conditioning water. They minimise malfunctions and damage caused by limescale in water pipes and connected system components. As well as the control valve, the connecting pipes and the replacement tanks are fully thermally insulated with easy-to-install insulation shells (optional). This prevents overheating of the water temperature and good growth conditions for harmful microorganisms. The optimum standard of hygiene is maintained. Rondomat Duo works as a duplex soft water system according to the ion exchanger principle in alternating operation. The alternating operation minimises stagnation times and soft water is available at all times. Regeneration is triggered volumetrically (depending on the water volume). This means that no remaining soft water supply is discarded during regeneration. Regeneration starts immediately when the capacity is exhausted. Softening takes place by exchanging the hardness builders Ca and Mg ions for Na ions from the regenerant (brine) on the ion exchanger. The brine is metered by means of a hydraulic level control. A sensor automatically records the brine volume (optional). During regeneration, the exchanger material is disinfected via a device on the system. An infrared sensor monitors the fill level, which triggers a pre-alarm (optional) when the salt level is low (below 20 %).
